Pause

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This page explains how Pause may collect, use, and protect personal data in connection with the website, the reset experience, and related communications.

1. Data controller

The controller responsible for the processing described on this page is Nebahat Gueney, trading as Pause.

Contact email: hi@pause1min.com
Registered address: Benidorm, Spain

2. What data may be collected

Depending on how the site is used, Pause may process the following categories of data:

  • basic technical information such as browser, device, and pages viewed
  • analytics and usage information about how resets are started, completed, or abandoned
  • cookie and consent preferences
  • messages you send directly, for example by email

Pause is designed to avoid collecting unnecessary sensitive information. Users should not submit special category data unless explicitly requested for a lawful and stated purpose.

3. Why data may be processed

Data may be processed in order to:

  • operate, secure, and improve the website and reset experience
  • measure product performance, engagement, and technical reliability
  • respond to user messages or support requests
  • comply with legal obligations

4. Legal bases

Pause relies on different legal bases depending on the purpose of the processing.

  • Basic site operation and security: legitimate interests in providing, securing, and maintaining the website.
  • Preference storage: legitimate interests in remembering user-selected settings, such as sound preferences, where those settings are requested by the user.
  • Analytics and measurement: consent, where consent is required under applicable law before non-essential analytics technologies are activated.
  • Support or direct contact: legitimate interests and, where relevant, pre-contractual steps in responding to messages sent directly by users.
  • Legal compliance: compliance with legal obligations.

5. Analytics and service providers

Pause uses PostHog for product analytics. PostHog may process pseudonymous identifiers, device and browser information, IP address (which may be truncated or anonymized), and event data such as interactions with the reset experience, including started, completed, or abandoned sessions.

Analytics technologies are only activated after user consent where required by applicable law. PostHog acts as a data processor on behalf of Pause.

6. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Pause relies on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, where required.

7. Retention

Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months, unless a shorter period is configured or required.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis.

Where analytics processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings or consent interface made available on the site, for example via the cookie banner or settings link. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, including the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if Spain is your relevant jurisdiction.
